14th FICCI Chemicals & Petrochemicals Awards 2025 in Delhi

New Delhi witnessed the grand celebration of the 14th FICCI Chemicals and Petrochemicals Awards 2025 on 22 January, organised by the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC) in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). The event, held at Federation House, honoured 52 achievers across the sector for excellence in innovation, sustainability, and safety.

Hon’ble Minister Highlights Sectoral Significance

Smt. Anupriya Patel, Union Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers and Health & Family Welfare, presided as Chief Guest. Addressing the audience, she highlighted the chemicals and petrochemicals sector as the backbone of India’s manufacturing ecosystem, supporting industries from agriculture and pharmaceuticals to textiles and clean energy. The Minister underscored the Government’s Next-Gen Reforms to enhance ease of doing business, global competitiveness, and regulatory efficiency, contributing to India’s vision of Viksit Bharat.

Awards Recognise Excellence and Innovation

The ceremony felicitated 52 awardees across categories that include manufacturing excellence, energy efficiency, innovation, sustainability, safety, and circular economy practices. These awards spotlighted companies and individuals driving technological advancements, environmentally responsible operations, and best practices that strengthen India’s chemical value chain.

Highlighting key government measures, the Hon’ble Minister noted initiatives such as GST rationalisation, streamlined compliance, energy and labour reforms, and incentives for research and innovation. These initiatives aim to position India as a global hub for chemicals and petrochemicals, attract investment, and strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities.

Secretary DCPC Stresses Industry Collaboration

Ms. Nivedita Shukla Verma, Secretary, DCPC, as Guest of Honour, emphasised the importance of collaboration between industry and government for building a future-ready chemicals ecosystem. She highlighted the department’s efforts in promoting R&D, ensuring safety standards, advancing sustainability, and facilitating circular economy practices. According to the Secretary, these measures are critical to enhancing global competitiveness and fostering innovation-led growth.
