15 Exceptional Nurses Honoured with National Florence Nightingale Awards 2025 at Rashtrapati Bhavan

RR Team, May 30, 2025May 30, 2025

In a heartfelt ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan today, the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, conferred the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Awards 2025 on 15 outstanding nursing professionals from across the country. The awards recognize their unwavering dedication, compassion, and exemplary service in strengthening India’s healthcare delivery and supporting communities in need.

The event was graced by Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, along with Ministers of State Shri Prataprao Jadhav and Smt. Anupriya Patel. Extending his warm congratulations, Shri Nadda hailed the awardees as the backbone of India’s healthcare system. “This recognition is not just a reward, but a tribute to your tireless efforts to serve humanity,” he said. “Our nurses save countless lives every single day and continue to be the lifeline of our health infrastructure.”

Instituted by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the National Florence Nightingale Award honours Registered Nurses, Midwives, Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs), and Lady Health Visitors (LHVs) who have demonstrated excellence and resilience in their fields. Each award carries a Certificate of Merit, a cash prize of ₹1,00,000, and a medal as a token of the nation’s deep gratitude.
