15th Pension Adalat Resolves 815 Grievances in New Delhi

RR Team, December 24, 2025December 25, 2025
New Delhi, December 24: The Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW), under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, conducted the 15th All India Pension Adalat at T. N. Chaturvedi Hall, Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi. Chaired by Ms. Rachna Shah, Secretary, DoPT, DARPG & DoPPW, the Adalat underscored the government’s commitment to ensuring faster resolution of pension grievances and enhancing the dignity and financial security of pensioners.

Massive Grievance Redressal

Out of 1,087 long-pending pension grievances taken up during the Adalat, 815 were resolved on the spot. These grievances spanned 30 Departments and Ministries, including Defence, Home Affairs, Finance, Posts, Housing & Urban Affairs, and Civil Aviation. The initiative demonstrated the efficiency of bringing multiple stakeholders together on one platform to deliver timely justice to pensioners.

Secretary’s Address

Launching the Adalat, Ms. Rachna Shah lauded the mechanism for its effectiveness in expediting grievance redressal. She emphasized that the Pension Adalat has reinforced the government’s commitment to pensioners, recognizing them as active contributors to society. By streamlining processes and ensuring accountability, the Adalat has become a vital tool in addressing pensioners’ concerns.

Heart-Warming Success Stories

Several cases involving Super Senior Pensioners and Family Pensioners were successfully resolved during the Adalat. These stories highlighted the challenges faced by pensioners and the importance of coordinated intervention by departments such as CGDA, MoD, PCDA(P) Prayagraj, Pr CCA MHA, CC(P), and CAPFs. The resolutions brought relief to pensioners who had been awaiting their rightful dues for years.

Commitment to Pensioners

The Pension Adalat initiative reflects the government’s broader commitment to pensioners’ welfare. By ensuring faster grievance resolution, the program enhances financial security and dignity for retired employees. It also strengthens trust between pensioners and the administration, ensuring that their concerns are addressed with empathy and efficiency.

Future Outlook

The success of the 15th Pension Adalat sets the stage for future initiatives aimed at improving pensioners’ welfare. With over 800 grievances resolved instantly, the Adalat has proven to be a powerful mechanism for delivering justice. The government’s continued focus on pension reforms and grievance redressal will further strengthen the social security framework for India’s retired workforce.
