Kamareddy

The other constituency from which KCR is contesting, Kamareddy, is currently represented by Gampa Govardhan of the BRS. Govardhan is a five-time legislator, having held the seat since 1994. KCR’s son and BRS Working President K T Rama Rao has expressed his determination to develop Kamareddy into a model constituency and has praised Govardhan for inviting KCR to contest from the seat.

Sircilla

Rama Rao’s constituency of Sircilla in the Rajanna-Sircilla district is also being closely watched. Rama Rao has won from Sircilla in multiple elections. The town has a significant population of weavers, a community that is likely to play a key role in the upcoming polls.

A Revanth Reddy, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and Member of Parliament (MP) from Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency, is facing a crucial test in the upcoming polls. Having assumed the reins of the party in June 2021, Reddy is under immense pressure to deliver a better performance than the Congress’ dismal showing in the previous Assembly elections. Failure to do so could lead to internal dissent and calls for his ouster.

BRS | KT Rama Rao

KT Rama Rao (KTR), the son of KCR and the Working President of the BRS, is seen as his father’s political heir. He holds several key portfolios in the Telangana government, including Information Technology, Industries, and Municipal Administration. KTR is widely expected to play a pivotal role in the state’s political landscape in the event of KCR shifting its focus to national politics in the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

BJP | G Kishan Reddy

He was appointed the state BJP president three months ago, following the elevation of MP Bandi Sanjay to the post of BJP national general secretary. BRS
