Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2023:
A rebellion has started in both the major communities, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress, after ticket reservations for the 2023 assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh. Many leaders who have not received tickets are angry with the party and are fighting the elections. Because of these rebels, it may be difficult for both ideologies to win the elections.
Rebels’ allegation
There are many allegations regarding the rebels not getting tickets.
- Feudalist thinking: Many rebels allege that the tickets are being dominated by Bhikshuni socialist thinking. The tickets given to them are attributed to their caste or social background.
- Party servant: Some rebels allege that the ticket reserve is in the possession of a party servant. Efforts are being made to buy tickets for any other leader.
- Luggage: Some rebels allege that the tickets have been taken on rent. They have been given money to give tickets.
number of rebels
There are more than 100 rebel leaders in both the Buddhist monasteries in Madhya Pradesh. Some leaders have ended the fake election battle, while others remain in the parties. Those who vote for any one of these can become a challenge to the Buddhist monastery. For example, Congress has fielded Rajendra Singh from the Badnagar assembly seat in the Mazhabi district. Current MLA Murli Morwal is contesting elections here. Morwal is pressurizing Congress for a ticket.
Both have tried to pacify the rebels, but have not achieved any success yet. BJP has made various efforts to bring the rebels back into the party but has not achieved any success so far. Congress is also trying to persuade the rebels, but the rebels say that they will not return to the party.
Elections may be affected due to rebels. If supporters of the rebels cast their votes, it may be difficult for supporters of both the ashrams to vote. In this situation, there is a possibility of victory of the alliance.
