Covid in India: 628 Fresh Cases, Active Cases Rise to 4,054
Covid-19 cases are increasing in India
According to Union Health Ministry data, India recorded 628 new COVID-19 cases on December 25, 2023. With this, the total number of cases in the country increased to 4,50,09,248.
The number of active cases is also increasing. On 25 December, the number of active cases stood at 4,054, an increase of 111 from the previous day.
In the last 24 hours, one person died of Covid-19 in Kerala. This took the total number of deaths in the country to 5,33,334.Medical experts said the increase in COVID-19 cases in India is due to the new Omicron sub-variant JN.1. This sub-variant was first detected in Kerala in India.
Health experts have advised people to wear masks, maintain social distance and take full doses of vaccination.
The number of people recovering from Covid-19 in India increased to 4.44 crore
According to the Health Ministry website, the number of people recovering from COVID-19 in India has reached 4,44,71,860 as of December 25, 2023.

This is about 98.81 per cent of the total cases in the country.
The Health Ministry said that the number of people recovering from Covid-19 is continuously increasing. This shows that India’s ability to fight COVID-19 is strong.
