Chhattisgarh’s new Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai: New beginning with tribal face
BJP achieved a massive victory in the assembly elections held in Chhattisgarh. The party won 70 out of 90 seats. Along with this, Vishnudev Sai has been elected the new Chief Minister of the state. Vishnudev Sai was born in 1957 in Bagiya village of Kunkuri area of Chhattisgarh. They are farmers. Sai started his political career in 1989 from the post of Panch from his village. After this, he was elected Sarpanch unopposed in 1990.
Early Life and Education:
Born in Bagiya village of Jashpur district, Chhattisgarh, Sai’s roots are firmly planted in the soil. He completed his higher secondary education at Loyola Higher Secondary School, Kunkuri, Jashpur, demonstrating his academic inclination alongside his rural upbringing.
In 1998, he became a member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly by being elected MLA from Tapkara. In 1999, he was elected MP from Raigarh Lok Sabha constituency. Later, the BJP made him the state president of the party in 2006.
Sai was also the Union Minister of State for Steel in the Narendra Modi government from 2014 to 2019.
