The second phase of BPSC teacher recruitment examination is going on in Bihar. During this period, there are continuous reports of involvement of fake candidates. This time, despite tight security arrangements for the examination under the leadership of KK Pathak, fake candidates are being caught. The latest case is from Darbhanga, from where 4 fake candidates have been arrested.
Cracking down on impersonation: The second phase of the BPSC teacher recruitment exam in Bihar is seeing stricter measures against impersonation, with four arrests made in Darbhanga. Despite enhanced security under KK Pathak’s leadership, these incidents highlight the ongoing challenge of maintaining exam integrity.
From Shafi Muslim High School to Marwari College: During the third day of exams across 25 Darbhanga centers, authorities apprehended fake candidates at four locations. Rajesh Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Jitendra Kumar, and Rameshwar Kumar were identified as imposters attempting to take the exam for others in exchange for money.
Thorough checks and legal action: BPSC Chief Examination Assistant ADM Rajesh Jha confirmed the arrests and assured legal action against the offenders. He emphasized the importance of stringent measures like biometric scanning and thorough investigation at exam centers to deter such attempts.
Heavy turnout amidst vigilance: The exam witnessed a high turnout, with 7580 candidates appearing on the third day. However, 1894 absentees were reported. The first shift, held from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM, saw strict security protocols in place. Magistrates, police officers, and forces were deployed at all centers to ensure smooth and fair conduct.
Managing logistics: With 150 objective questions from English, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Urdu covering classes six to eight, the exam catered to a large pool of aspirants. The influx of examinees and their families, estimated at around one lakh individuals, put additional pressure on the traffic system in the vicinity.
Moving forward: While these incidents raise concerns about potential vulnerabilities, the swift action taken by authorities demonstrates a commitment to upholding exam integrity. Continued vigilance and robust security measures are crucial to ensuring a fair and credible recruitment process for qualified teachers in Bihar.
