New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Draupadi Murmu on Tuesday after the inauguration of the Ayodhya mandir. During this, he informed the President about the construction and inauguration of the mandir.
PM Modi said that the President’s letter inspired him to build the mandir. He said, “Your letter was very inspiring for me. You said that the construction of the Ayodhya mandir is a national responsibility. This letter inspired me more to build the mandir.”
PM Modi said that the construction of the mandir is a historic achievement. He said that this temple is a symbol of the unity and integrity of India.
The President also appreciated the efforts of PM Modi. He said that the construction of the mandir was a long-running struggle. He said that this struggle has been successful under the leadership of PM Modi.
After the inauguration of the Ayodhya mandir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Lord Ram has arrived.” It was a historic moment when lakhs of devotees witnessed the installation of Lord Ram’s idol inside the mandir.
PM Modi said that this mandir is a symbol of unity and integrity of India. He said that this mandir will promote the ideals of Lord Ram, which are of peace, harmony and justice.
PM Modi visited the mandir ahead of the rituals that lasted for eleven days. He said it was not only a sacred ritual but also the supreme spiritual act of renunciation and devotion to Lord Rama.
At the event, a 51-inch (130 cm) tall, black stone idol of the deity was installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the mandir. Traditional shehnai played devotional music during the ritual which was attended by around 10,000 guests.
