Dense fog remained in Delhi and its surrounding states on Thursday also. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that there is no hope of relief from the situation till January 28.
The official weather observatory at Safdarjung in Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 7.2 degrees Celsius at 5:30 am, which is 2.8 degrees below the norm. Visibility in Safdarjung and Palam was severely affected due to dense fog, reducing it to 50 meters and 25 meters respectively.
Flight operations at Delhi airport were affected due to dense fog. On 25 January, many flights were cancelled or delayed. Delhi Airport has urged passengers to contact the respective airlines for flight information.
Due to dense fog, people in Delhi are facing problems in daily life. Traffic has been affected due to low visibility on the road. Many people are avoiding leaving the house.
