The first picture of the new idol of Lord Ram in the sanctum sanctorum of Ram Janmabhoomi mandir in Ayodhya has surfaced. In this picture, Lord Rama is depicted as a five-year-old boy. He is standing and has a lotus flower in his hands. His eyes are closed and his face is full of peace and compassion.
Ayodhya Ram Mandir: The statue was created by the famous sculptor of Karnataka, Arun Yogiraj. Yogiraj carved the idol from a dark black stone called Krishnashila. The height of the idol is 51 inches.
The Ram Mandir will consecrate the idol on January 22, 2024. After Pran Pratistha, devotees will be able to have darshan of Lord Rama.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ or consecration ceremony at the Ram mandir on January 22. The event will also be attended by over 11,000 guests, including cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, and Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
Mandir construction rituals begin
The rituals of the consecration ceremony have already started in the mandir. All the trustees of the mandir trust, saints of about 150 sects and more than 500 people associated with the construction of the mandir also participate in these rituals.
