PM Modi in Kerala on his second visit in two weeks
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Kerala on Thursday on his second visit in two weeks. During the visit, he will inaugurate the new dry dock and International Ship Repair Facility (ISRF) of Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) in Kochi.

During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will also meet Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and other senior officials.
The purpose of this visit is to promote industry and tourism in Kerala. The inauguration of CSL’s new dry dock and ISRF will boost Kerala’s shipping and repair industry.
Ahead of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Kerala, he wrote on Twitter, “I am visiting Kerala again. During this visit, I will inaugurate the new dry dock and International Ship Repair Facility of Cochin Shipyard Limited. These projects will boost Kerala’s industry and “Will play an important role in promoting tourism.”
This visit of Prime Minister Modi to Kerala is important as it comes ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in the state. The performance of the BJP in Kerala has strengthened over the past few years and the party is trying to come to power in the state.
