New Delhi: The Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) has announced the much-anticipated 16th edition of ELECRAMA, the world’s largest electrical show, scheduled for February 22-26, 2025, in Delhi. With the captivating theme “Reimagining Energy for a Sustainable Future”, the event aims to serve as a global platform for fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and dialogue amongst industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders from across the world. This collaborative effort seeks to accelerate the transition towards a greener and more resilient energy ecosystem, addressing critical challenges and charting a course for a sustainable future.
Union Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Shri R.K. Singh, commended IEEMA for the initiative, highlighting the government’s significant strides in the power sector. He acknowledged adding 200 GW of generation capacity and establishing a unified grid, capable of transferring power across the vast expanse of the country. These advancements, he stated, “power the future of India,” and ELECRAMA serves as a vital platform to showcase these achievements and propel further progress. The Minister further expressed his appreciation for the new themes, recognizing their alignment with the government’s long-term vision and initiatives focused on sustainability and clean energy solutions.
Shri Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairperson of the Central Electricity Authority, emphasized that ELECRAMA aligns perfectly with the ongoing transformation within the Indian and global energy sectors. He highlighted the event’s focus on transitioning towards non-conventional energy sources, a crucial step towards achieving sustainability goals. He acknowledged the challenges faced by the industry, including balancing existing technologies with promoting innovative solutions, and emphasized the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing to address these challenges effectively. ELECRAMA 2025 is expected to play a vital role in facilitating meaningful dialogue and collaboration amongst diverse stakeholders, fostering the development and implementation of sustainable and efficient energy solutions.
IEEMA President, Shri Hamza Arsiwala, emphasized the significance of ELECRAMA in shaping the trajectory of the Indian and global energy sectors. He expressed confidence in India’s leadership aspirations and stated that ELECRAMA 2025 is designed to propel the power sector towards an ‘all-electric future’, one that is clean, reliable, and accessible to all. Building upon the success of the previous edition, he expects an even larger and more impactful event in 2025, attracting participation from a wider range of stakeholders and showcasing a broader spectrum of cutting-edge technologies.
Vice President, Mr. Vikram Gandotra, elaborated on the anticipated groundbreaking nature of the event, showcasing a comprehensive array of cutting-edge technologies that are redefining the energy landscape. These advancements span various fields, including Green Hydrogen, Digital Energy Solutions, Renewables integration, EV Charging Infrastructure, Energy Storage solutions, Fuel Cells, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. He projected business enquiries worth $20 billion and participation from over 100 countries with dedicated country pavilions, underlining the event’s global reach and significance.
Shri Deepak Sharma, Managing Director & CEO of Schneider Electric India, congratulated the IEEMA team and recognized ELECRAMA as a crucial platform for bringing together industry leaders and policymakers from around the world. He emphasized the value of dialogue, showcasing innovative technologies, and knowledge sharing, all of which are essential for accelerating the transition towards a sustainable energy future.
