The wait is over for Alwar, Rajasthan! The much-anticipated ESIC Sub-Regional Office was officially inaugurated today by Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Shri Bhupender Yadav. This new facility is poised to significantly improve healthcare access for a vast population in the region.
An estimated 12 lakh beneficiaries and 24,500 employers will reap the rewards of this new office. These benefits extend beyond just Alwar, reaching neighbouring districts like Khairthal-Tijara, Kotputli-Behror, Bharatpur, and Deeg.
The inauguration ceremony highlighted the government’s commitment to improving healthcare for workers. Minister Yadav emphasized initiatives such as offering chemotherapy and dialysis services in ESI hospitals. He also proudly mentioned ESIC’s recent recognition with the “ISSA Vision Zero 2023” award, signifying their dedication to workplace safety.
Dr. Rajendra Kumar, Director General of ESIC, showcased the organization’s innovative advancements during the ceremony. These include a 5G ambulance service, a user-friendly AAA+ Mobile App, annual health checkups, and home delivery of medication and sample collection for senior citizens and those with chronic illnesses.
The ESIC Sub-Regional Office in Alwar builds upon a strong foundation. The Employees’ State Insurance Scheme has been operational in Rajasthan since 1956, currently serving nearly 15 lakh insured workers and 58 lakh beneficiaries across the state. Nationally, ESIC provides comprehensive social security benefits to over 13.3 crore beneficiaries in 661 districts. Their robust network boasts over 1500 dispensaries, 165 hospitals, and numerous educational institutions dedicated to medical training.
