The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced its seventh list of candidates for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections on Wednesday. This latest list includes nominees for the Amravati constituency in Maharashtra and the Chitradurga constituency in Karnataka.
Navneet Rana has been nominated to contest from the Amravati Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra, while Govind Karjol will represent the party in the Chitradurga Lok Sabha constituency in Karnataka.
Navneet Rana, currently a sitting member of parliament from Amravati, was elected as an independent candidate with the support of Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, defeating Anandrao Adsul of Shiv Sena.
In addition to the Lok Sabha candidates, the BJP also announced a list of 10 candidates for the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections and Haryana bypolls.
Former Karnataka deputy chief minister Govind Karjol has been chosen as the candidate for the Chitradurga Lok Sabha seat. Meanwhile, BJP leader A Narayanaswamy had won the Chitradurga parliamentary seat in the 2019 general election.
The BJP’s list for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections includes candidates such as N Eswara Rao, P Vishnu Kumar Raju, Pangi Rajarao, M Shiva Krishnam Raju, Kamineni Srinivas Rao, Y.S. Chowdary, Bojja Roshanna, C Adinarayana Reddy, P.V. Parthasarathi, and Y. Satya Kumar.
Furthermore, the Chhattisgarh BJP revealed its 40-star campaigners list, featuring prominent leaders such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief JP Nadda, and Union ministers Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah, among others.
