Amit Shah expressed confidence that India is making strides toward completely eradicating Naxalism following the recent operation in Chhattisgarh, which led to the demise of 29 Naxals. He lauded the security forces for their proactive approach, which has restricted Naxal activities to a confined area. Shah conveyed his appreciation to the personnel involved in the successful operation and conveyed his best wishes for the swift recovery of the injured officers.
He underscored the government’s unwavering resolve, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, to eliminate the Naxal threat from the nation. The clash between Naxals and security forces occurred near Binagunda village in Kanker, where the Border Security Force (BSF) and the District Reserve Guard (DRG) collaborated in the anti-Naxal operation. Despite facing resistance from CPI Maoist cadres, the BSF effectively countered, neutralizing the threat. Shah also highlighted the ongoing endeavours to combat Naxalism in the Bastar region, where 68 Naxals have been neutralized in separate encounters since December 2023.
The forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in Naxal-affected areas, including Bastar and Kanker, further emphasize the government’s commitment to ensuring security and stability in these regions.
