Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at a public rally in Goa on Saturday as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) campaign for the Lok Sabha elections. The coastal state will hold its elections on May 7 during the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant stated that the BJP’s vote count and lead in the state’s two Lok Sabha seats would increase following Modi’s rally.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi, while addressing an election rally in Kolhapur, criticized the Opposition’s “anti-national agendas” and “appeasement” politics. Confident in the BJP-NDA’s win in the Lok Sabha elections, Modi used football terminology to explain that they were leading “2-0” after the second phase of voting.
Prime Minister Modi emphasized the NDA’s approach of “satisfaction, not appeasement.” This “saturation approach” aligns with the idea of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,’ providing the benefits of all welfare schemes without discrimination. He cited Goa as a perfect example of this approach.
During his rally in Goa, PM Modi described the 2024 election as a contest between two streams: the NDA’s stream, which aligns with the aspirations of the country’s people, and the INDIA bloc’s stream, which serves its interests and families.
While addressing a public rally in Kolhapur, PM Modi referred to the city as a football hub and said, “In football terminology, after the completion of the second phase, BJP-NDA is leading 2-0.”
He criticized the opposition for promoting “anti-national agendas and appeasement” and claimed that the Congress party plans to “reinstate Article 370 in Kashmir.”
In its 15th list of candidates for the general elections, the BJP nominated Ujjwal Deorao Nikam for the Mumbai North Central constituency. Nikam, known for his legal expertise, played a key role in prosecuting and securing the execution of Ajmal Kasab for the 26/11 terror attack.
