Following his entry into the BJP, Gourav Vallabh openly criticized the Congress, invoking Lord Shri Ram in his statements. He expressed dissatisfaction with his former party’s approach, citing their continuous criticism of Sanatan Dharma and their treatment of wealth creators as reasons for his departure. Vallabh swiftly joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, participating in a ceremony held at the BJP Headquarters in New Delhi on April 4, 2024, alongside Vinod Tawde.
In his pointed remarks, Vallabh emphasized the importance of constructive criticism in political discourse. He accused the Congress of self-sabotage, suggesting that their relentless attacks on Prime Minister Modi had led them to criticize themselves.
Notably, Vallabh mentioned his inability to oppose Sanatan Dharma and demonize wealth creators as factors in his decision to leave the Congress. He expressed hope that the Congress would reconsider its stance on these issues. Vallabh’s resignation letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge shared on the social media platform X, underscored his discomfort with the party’s direction.
During his induction into the BJP, Vallabh did not hesitate to criticize the Congress’s economic policies, particularly their disregard for reforms, liberalization, and globalization advocated by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. He emphasized the importance of wealth creation and reiterated his longstanding support for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, diverging from the Congress’s position.
Vallabh also criticized the Congress’s approach to religious and ideological matters, highlighting a perceived gap within the party. Despite the transition, Vallabh reaffirmed his commitment to advancing India’s progress, aligning himself with the BJP’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).
