Chief of the Naval Staff to Honor Naval Personnel with Gallantry & Distinguished Service Medals at INS Hansa
The Naval Investiture Ceremony 2024 is scheduled to be held at INS Hansa, Goa on April 14, 2024, to recognize and honour Naval personnel who have demonstrated exceptional gallantry, leadership, professional excellence, and distinguished service. Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), will bestow Gallantry and Distinguished Service awards to the deserving recipients on behalf of the Hon’ble President of India during the ceremony.
The awards to be presented include Nao Sena Medals (Gallantry), Nao Sena Medals (Devotion to Duty), and Vishisht Seva Medals.
Additionally, the CNS will present the Capt Ravi Dhir Memorial Gold Medal for contributions to Flight Safety and the Lt VK Jain Memorial Gold Medal for groundbreaking research in Weapon Improvement and Electrical Engineering. Unit Citations will also be conferred upon various units during the ceremony.
The event will commence with a ceremonial parade and will be attended by the spouses and family members of the awardees, along with several senior officials of the Indian Navy.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on the ‘Indian Navy YouTube’ Channel starting from 5:00 PM on April 14, 2024.
