The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), under the Cyber Surakshit Bharat initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), organized the 43rd Batch of Chief Information Security Officers’ Deep Dive Training Programme from April 8th to April 12th, 2024.
This initiative aims to raise awareness about cybercrime and enhance the capabilities of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and frontline IT officials across government departments. Participants from various states, including Assam, Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and the National Capital Territory of Delhi, attended the training at the Indian Institute of Public Administration in New Delhi.
The inaugural session was attended by senior officials from MeitY, NeGD, and IIPA. The training focused on equipping CISOs with comprehensive knowledge about cyber-attacks, the latest safeguarding technologies, legal provisions, and the formulation of cyber security policies and crisis management plans.
The program’s objective is to raise awareness, enhance capacities, and empower government departments to establish a cyber-resilient ecosystem. Since its launch in 2018, this training initiative has conducted 43 batches, training over 1,604 CISOs and frontline IT officials through partnerships with industry consortiums under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
