During a rally in Rajasthan’s Churu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed accusations made by the opposition INDIA bloc and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi regarding the Bharatiya Janata Party’s alleged intention to undermine the Constitution. Modi firmly stated, “The Constitution is Geeta, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bible, and Quran for the government,” dismissing any notion to the contrary.
Modi further underscored that even Babasaheb Ambedkar, the architect of the constitution, would be unable to abolish it. He reiterated the government’s profound respect for the Constitution and its central role in governance.
At the rally, Modi also referenced the opposition’s criticism of BJP MP Anantkumar Hegde’s remarks on amending the Constitution, dismissing it as a “personal opinion.” He condemned the INDI alliance for disseminating falsehoods under the guise of defending the Constitution.
Asserting his government’s unwavering commitment to upholding constitutional values, Modi highlighted initiatives such as celebrating Constitution Day and developing ‘Panchtirthas’ associated with Ambedkar. He expressed confidence in the BJP’s performance in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, citing public dissatisfaction with the Congress’s obstructive tactics over the past decade.
Additionally, Modi criticized Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Shakti’ remark, accusing him of undermining Hinduism’s strength. He cautioned that such actions would not be tolerated by the people.
Furthermore, Modi scrutinized the Congress’s decision to boycott the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony for electoral gains ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
