Secretary Sanjay Kumar met with an Indonesian delegation led by H.E. Mochammad Firman Hidayat to discuss the PM Poshan Scheme.
Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL) under the Ministry of Education, convened a meeting with a delegation from Indonesia headed by H.E. Mochammad Firman Hidayat, Deputy Coordinating Minister for Maritime Resources. The focus of the discussion was on the PM Poshan Scheme. Accompanying Secretary Kumar were Additional Secretaries Shri Anandrao V. Patil and Shri Vipin Kumar, along with other senior officials from the Ministry of Education and Ministry of External Affairs.
During the meeting, Secretary Kumar outlined the PM Poshan Scheme, emphasizing its provision of hot cooked meals to students from Pre-Primary to Class VIII in Government and Government-aided schools. The Indonesian delegation expressed interest in adopting a similar program in their country and received valuable insights from Secretary Kumar regarding the scheme’s implementation.
Additionally, Shri Patil delivered a presentation detailing various aspects of the PM Poshan Scheme, including its objectives, scale, provisions, and components. He also discussed capacity-building initiatives, community participation, monitoring and evaluation procedures, and best practices associated with the scheme.
