In a public rally in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized previous governments for the state of security before he took office. He stated that before 2014, there were frequent announcements at railway and bus stations warning people not to touch unclaimed items for fear of bombs. Modi claimed that after he came to power, such fears have been alleviated due to the impact of the people’s vote.
Modi highlighted that the power of the public’s vote has stopped major explosions because they voted for the right people. He also accused Congress and the Samajwadi Party of trying to take away the rights of SC, ST, and OBC communities and seeking to give reservations based on religion.
During his speech, Modi criticized Congress for its tactics, stating that the party resorts to invoking the country and the Constitution to justify major wrongdoings. He accused Congress of using similar slogans in the 1970s to impose Emergency and stifle democratic freedoms.
Modi also dismissed Congress’s claims that a BJP victory would lead to dictatorship and loss of reservations. He emphasized that people have seen through Congress’s manifesto and its alleged hidden agenda.
