The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved Greenko Energies Private Limited’s acquisition of additional shares in Sikkim Urja Limited, formerly known as Teesta Urja Limited.
Greenko Energies is an Indian limited liability company and an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Greenko Mauritius. Greenko Mauritius is fully owned by Greenko Energy Holdings (GEH), a Mauritius-based holding company that manages the Greenko group’s investments in the power generation sector in India.
Sikkim Urja Limited is a special-purpose vehicle established to develop a 1,200 MW hydropower project in North Sikkim, India, which consists of six units of 200 MW each.
