Union Home Minister Amit Shah claimed that while Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will not be blamed for the party’s defeat, party president Mallikarjun Kharge will lose his job. Shah stated that Congress leaders will hold a press conference on June 4 to blame electronic voting machines (EVMs) for their loss.
Speaking at an election rally in Kushinagar, Amit Shah asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has secured over 310 seats in the first five phases of the Lok Sabha polls, while Rahul Gandhi will not surpass 40 seats and Akhilesh Yadav will not secure even 4 seats.
Shah said, “On the afternoon of June 4, Rahul Baba’s people will hold a press conference and claim that they lost because of the EVMs. The blame for the loss will also fall on Kharge.”
Shah also criticized Rahul and Akhilesh, saying they were born with silver spoons and do not understand the problems faced by the people of eastern Uttar Pradesh. He highlighted that PM Modi, born in a backward community, has not taken a single leave during his tenure, contrasting it with Rahul’s frequent trips to Thailand.
He accused both Rahul and Akhilesh of being involved in corruption, alleging that they were involved in corrupt activities worth ₹12 lakh crore, while no corruption allegations have been raised against PM Modi.
Shah also raised the issue of the Ram temple, accusing the SP government of firing on Ram bhakts and blaming Congress for stalling the temple issue for 70 years. He praised PM Modi for performing the bhoomipujan of the temple, attending the pran pratishtha, renovating the Kashi Vishwanath temple, and working towards the gold plating of the Somnath temple.
