During a Lok Sabha election campaign rally in Ranchi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Congress general secretary, brought joy to locals by participating in a traditional dance. This vibrant event unfolded in the heart of Jharkhand’s capital.
Speaking at an election rally in Godda, Jharkhand, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticized the BJP-led central government, accusing it of attempting to alter the Constitution and undermining institutions like Parliament and the judiciary over the past decade.
She alleged that individuals opposing the government’s policies were facing persecution, cautioning that if the BJP returned to power, it would reduce reservations and modify the Constitution. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also highlighted instances of perceived injustice, citing the imprisonment of former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren and the spirited resistance of his wife, Kalpana.
In a direct critique aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she mentioned a significant donation received from a Covid vaccine manufacturing firm, suggesting a correlation with adverse reactions reported post-vaccination. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra further criticized the government’s policies, accusing it of prioritizing the interests of billionaires over the welfare of farmers and overlooking the needs of marginalized communities.
She pointed out Godda as a prime example of capitalist exploitation, where despite the presence of a mega power plant owned by the Adani Group, electricity remains inaccessible to the local population.
