A lecture titled “Health and Sanitation: A Vital Connection” was delivered by Prof. Shridhar Dwivedi, Senior Consultant Cardiologist & Head of Academics at the National Heart Institute, at the National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (NIScPR) of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in New Delhi. The event took place today during the Swachhata Pakhwada at the institute’s Vivekananda Hall.
The lecture focused on the essential relationship between cleanliness and overall well-being. Prof. Dwivedi emphasized the importance of holistic health, encompassing physical, mental, and spiritual aspects. He also noted that all religions promote cleanliness and encouraged the audience to maintain the healthy habits adopted during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prof. Ranjana Aggarwal, Director of CSIR-NIScPR, presented Prof. Dwivedi with a token of appreciation. She reiterated the institute’s dedication to promoting cleanliness and improving India’s image as a clean nation. The Swachhata Pakhwada initiative reflects this commitment by raising awareness and taking action for a healthier and cleaner India.
