Ayodhya: A 14-year-old boy from Kushinagar district was detained on Wednesday after allegedly threatening to blow up the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, police reported.
The boy, who has an intellectual disability and is undergoing treatment, made the threat via a call to the police emergency number ‘112’ on Tuesday night, according to Kushinagar Superintendent of Police Dhawal Jaiswal. His grandmother, with whom he resides, was also detained.
The boy not only called the emergency number but also posted similar threats on his Instagram and other social media accounts.
Utilizing their Cyber Cell, police traced the caller’s location to Balua Takiya, a village under Patherwa police station limits in Kushinagar, and detained him.
