Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered special prayers and performed the traditional “Kode Mokku” ritual at the Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple, known as the Kashi of the South, in Vemulawada, Rajanna Sircilla district.
Modi addressed an election meeting in Vemulawada to rally support for the BJP candidate from the Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who is the sitting MP and the party’s national general secretary.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge claimed that Modi’s position is becoming unstable after three phases of elections and that he has started attacking his allies. Kharge stated that this behaviour reveals the “real trend” of the results.
In a post on X, Kharge wrote in Hindi, “The times are changing. Friends are no longer friends…! After three phases of elections, the prime minister started attacking his allies. Modi’s position is unstable. This is the real trend of the results.”
RR Tax
Modi reiterated his accusation that the current administration in Telangana is imposing an “RR” tax to send proceeds to their superiors in Delhi. He stated, “One RR is looting and giving it to another R in Delhi. The RR collections have surpassed the film ‘RRR collections by ₹1,000 crores. RR will ruin Telangana quickly.”
He accused Congress and the BRS of being involved in a corruption syndicate, sharing common traits such as corruption and dynastic politics. “It is crucial to free Telangana from family-ruled parties for the state’s bright future,” he said.
Modi alleged that Congress was engaging in appeasement politics and claimed that a key leader of the INDIA bloc alliance had promised full reservations for Muslims if elected.
No Reservations for Muslims, Says PM Modi
Modi declared that as long as he is alive, there will be no reservations for Muslims, citing Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s opposition to religion-based reservations. He accused Congress and its allies of trying to provide reservations to their vote bank at the expense of the SCs, STs, and OBCs.
Modi alleged that Congress was plotting to lock the Ayodhya Ram Mandir and urged the public to support the BJP and NDA alliance to protect the temple.
He charged that both Congress and the BRS were working to ensure the victory of the AIMIM candidate in Hyderabad as part of their politics of appeasement.
