Mohini Ekadashi
Mohini Ekadashi date is celebrated in the Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. This fast has special significance in the Hindu religion. The theory is that on this day Lord Vishnu, in the form of Mohini, extracted nectar from the seashore and handed over the gods to the demons. Ekadashi fasts have special significance in the Hindu religion. There are two Ekadashis in every month, one in Shukla Paksha and the other in Krishna Paksha. Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month is called Mohini Ekadashi. On this day, Lord Vishnu took the form of Mohini snatched the nectar from the demons and made the people drink it. Story of Mohini Ekadashi fast
Once upon a time, a Chandravanshi king named Dyutiman ruled in Bhadravati city on the banks of river Saraswati. In the same city, a Vaishya named Dhanpal, who was full of wealth and had a calm nature, also lived. He was always engaged in some virtuous act. He established many wells, and ponds and found great service to ashrams, monasteries and others. There are many shady trees like mango, neem, jamin etc. along the roadways. By the grace of Lord Vishnu, he had five sons.
Among them, Sumana, Sadbuddhi, Madhavi and Sukriti were religious like their father, but Dhrishta Buddhi was very evil as per his name. His mind was always filled with sins. He glorified his father’s wealth and neither worshipped gods nor respected Brahmins and ancestors. One day his father threw him out of the house for his misconduct, and then all his relatives also abandoned him. In such a situation, he became unhappy and started wandering here and there, troubled by hunger and thirst.
It is said that when someone’s virtuous deeds rise, he gets the opportunity to see saints and listen to their teachings. Similarly, due to the influence of some previous good deed, go to the ashram of Maharishi Kaundilya ji, who is called Dhrishta Buddhi. Then the month of Vaishakh was going on and Maharishi was returning after taking a bath in the Ganga. When the foolish man started praying to Maharishi with folded hands to get rid of his sorrows, he felt pity. Maharishi asked him to observe fast on Mohini Ekadashi.
The wicked mind said to fast on Mohini Ekadashi. Due to the effect of fasting, he got freedom from all his sins and finally, he attained the abode of God.

How to stimulate Mohini?
Using Kusha or Durva is very auspicious: Kusha or Durva grass is considered sacred. Taking a bath in Kusha or Durva meadow on the day of Mohini Ekadashi brings virtue.
One has to take a bath with sesame paste: Sesame seeds are also considered sacred. Taking a bath with sesame paste on the day of Mohini Ekadashi keeps the body healthy and gives peace to the mind.
