y formed Cabinet will include 20 ministers from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), three from Jana Sena, and two from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The Telugu Desam Legislature Party and its NDA allies have unanimously chosen Naidu as their leader. The coalition, comprising TDP, BJP, and Jana Sena, plans to meet Governor S Abdul Nazeer to officially stake their claim to form the government. Naidu has expressed his gratitude, stating, “All MLAs of BJP, Janasena, and TDP have given their consent for me to become Andhra Pradesh’s next Chief Minister of the NDA government.”
Several other leaders are expected to be sworn in during the ceremony, including TDP General Secretary and Naidu’s son, Nara Lokesh, and Jana Sena leader N Manohar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with other dignitaries, will attend the swearing-in ceremony. Following this event, Modi is scheduled to travel to Bhubaneshwar for the swearing-in of the new BJP government in Odisha.
Naidu’s political journey began in 1995 when he first became the Chief Minister of the united Andhra Pradesh, serving three consecutive terms. After the state’s bifurcation, he became the first Chief Minister of the newly formed Andhra Pradesh in 2014, serving until 2019. After a five-year tenure as the opposition leader, Naidu has now secured his fourth term following the NDA’s landslide victory in the recent elections, securing 164 Assembly seats and 21 Lok Sabha seats.
