The Defence Services Staff College (DSSC) in Wellington and the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) in Mirpur, Dhaka have formalized their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on Military Education in Strategic and Operational Studies.
Both institutions train tri-service officers, preparing them for higher staff and command roles. Sharing similar ethos, training curriculums, and facing comparable challenges, the two colleges have decided to enhance their bilateral engagements through this MoU.
The signing took place during the official state visit of Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to India on June 22, 2024.
This agreement aims to enhance professional expertise, provide in-depth insights into strategic affairs, and facilitate the exchange of best practices and expertise. It will also boost the academic capabilities of student officers and faculty members. Key activities under the MoU will include joint training programs, seminars, faculty exchanges, and reciprocal instructor visits.
