Shri Harsh Malhotra officially assumed his role as the Minister of State for Corporate Affairs today in New Delhi.
At 60 years old, Malhotra is a first-time Member of Parliament from the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), representing East Delhi in the 18th Lok Sabha.
Upon taking office, Malhotra met with the Secretary, MCA, Shri Manoj Govil, and other senior officials from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and its affiliated organizations.
With over three decades of public service, Malhotra began his political career as a councillor from the Welcome ward in 2012 and served as the Mayor of the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) in 2015. He is currently one of the three general secretaries of the BJP’s Delhi unit and holds a science degree from Hansraj College, Delhi University.
During his initial briefing, Malhotra was updated on key initiatives, policy issues, ongoing challenges, and future objectives of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
Expressing his gratitude, Malhotra thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the opportunity to serve as the Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs and contribute to the nation’s development.
