N Chandrababu Naidu, leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on June 12 at 4:55 PM. This announcement was made by TDP leader K Raghu Rama Krishna Raju, who expressed the party’s pride and excitement.
“Nara Chandrababu Naidu will take the oath as Andhra Pradesh CM on June 12 at 4:55 PM. It’s a joyous moment for the people of Tamil Nadu, especially with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appreciation for our leaders Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. Our state leaders have shown great respect towards Modi Ji. We need substantial support from the Centre due to the damage caused by former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy,” Raju stated.
When questioned about specific demands from TDP for ministries in PM Modi’s cabinet, Raju clarified, “I don’t think so because that is not my place to comment. Our party leader is not the type to make demands. He can achieve much through his good relations, but he never demands.”
In the meantime, Chandrababu Naidu has expressed strong support for Narendra Modi, describing him as the “right leader at the right time” for India. On Friday, he reaffirmed TDP’s support for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), praising Modi’s vision and policy execution.
“The NDA government, under PM Modi’s leadership, has initiated significant changes over the past 10 years. Narendra Modi possesses vision and zeal, and his execution is perfect. Today, India has the right leader at the right time, and that leader is Narendra Modi. This is a crucial opportunity for India; if we miss it now, we will miss it forever,” Naidu said during the NDA MPs meeting at the Samvidhan Sadan of the Parliament building.
He officially proposed Narendra Modi for the Prime Minister’s position, highlighting Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Viksit Bharat.” He emphasized that through the NDA’s collective efforts, India can become a zero-poverty nation, achievable only under Modi’s leadership.
Naidu also evoked the vision of former Andhra Chief Minister late NT Rama Rao, drawing parallels with Modi’s vision. “TDP has strong ties with the NDA. My leader and party founder, NT Rama Garu, always worked hard for the people. He said he knew only one ‘ism’—humanism—and Narendra Modi Ji is making that vision a reality for India. This is the proudest moment of my life,” Naidu added.
Earlier this week, NDA leaders held a meeting and passed a resolution to elect Prime Minister Narendra Modi as their leader. According to sources, Modi is likely to take the oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time on June 9.
