Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, inaugurated the Amin PJKP Vidhyarthi Bhavan in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel. Shri Amit Shah also inaugurated the state-of-the-art multispecialty SLiMS Hospital in Ahmedabad.
Earlier in the day, Shri Amit Shah performed Mangala Aarti at the Shri Jagannath Temple in Ahmedabad. He extended his heartfelt wishes to the nation on the occasion of Mahaprabhu Jagannath Ji’s Rath Yatra. In his message, he highlighted the Rath Yatra as a significant event that upholds India’s cultural heritage and is celebrated with great devotion by millions of devotees.
Shri Amit Shah emphasized the importance of preserving Indian culture and spirituality through such celebrations. He remarked, “Mahaprabhu Jagannath’s Rath Yatra is an auspicious occasion to preserve the Indian cultural heritage and prosperity, celebrated with utmost devotion by crores of devotees. This Yatra symbolizes the dynamic nature of Indian culture, marked by celebrations and spirituality.”
Speaking at the inauguration of Amin PJKP Vidhyarthi Bhavan, Shri Amit Shah lauded the institution for its century-long contribution to education. He noted, “Completing 100 years of establishment signifies the institution’s support from the entire society. This hostel has continuously illuminated the lives of thousands of children with knowledge for 92 years, producing many personalities who have served Gujarat and the country.”
Addressing the students, he encouraged them to face life’s challenges with determination and a smile, emphasizing that today’s generation must live for the country. “Whatever you do in life, do it for the country. We should possess the passion for working for the country throughout our lives.”
Shri Amit Shah highlighted the significant role of the Patel community, especially the Kadva Patidar, in the development of Gujarat and the country. He praised their hard work, educational values, business acumen, and courage, which have propelled them forward while contributing to society’s progress.
He advised the students to set goals and work diligently to achieve them without resorting to shortcuts. “It is important to work hard in life to achieve your goals, and it is equally important to choose a path of self-welfare that benefits others as well,” he said.
Shri Amit Shah concluded by expressing his hopes for the students studying at this historical institution, noting that it is a privilege to learn in a place with such rich cultural and historical significance.
