Union Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan highlighted that the recently presented budget showcases Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foresight and commitment to a developed India. He described it as the “budget of India’s Amrit Kaal,” emphasizing its focus on the country’s development and the welfare of the poor.
Key allocations include Rs 1.52 lakh crore for agriculture and related sectors, and Rs 2.66 lakh crore for rural development, with a goal to build 3 crore houses under the PM Awas Yojana. Additionally, Rs 3 lakh crore has been allocated for schemes targeting women and girls.
Chouhan emphasized the budget’s role in transforming the lives of farmers, women, youth, and the poor, and highlighted initiatives such as increased MSP rates and the integration of farmers’ databases with digital land records. He also noted the focus on climate-friendly agricultural practices and the mission-mode production of pulses and oilseeds.
The budget aims to significantly enhance rural infrastructure and socio-economic conditions in tribal areas, with a new scheme benefiting 5 crore tribal people. Chouhan affirmed that this inclusive budget, reflecting the vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas,” will drive India towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy.
