A high-level committee, led by Justice Biswanath Rath of the Orissa High Court, is expediting the opening of the Ratna Bhandar (temple treasury) at the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri. This marks the first time the treasury will be accessed in 46 years.
The committee’s first meeting took place on July 6th in Puri. Justice Rath reported that based on official records, a spare key for the Ratna Bhandar locks exists. A follow-up meeting is scheduled for July 9th, where the committee will receive the key.
