The Ministry of Women and Child Development will host a post-budget webinar tomorrow, July 26, 2024, to explore the new initiatives aimed at boosting women’s participation in the workforce.
Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smt. Annpurna Devi, will deliver the inaugural address, highlighting the Ministry’s commitment to advancing women-led development. For the fiscal year 2024-25, the government has allocated Rs 3.3 lakh crore for women’s welfare and empowerment. This funding will support the creation of infrastructure such as working women’s hostels and crèches, enhance safety measures, and promote increased female participation in the workplace.
The webinar will commence with opening remarks from Shri Anil Malik, Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Child Development. It will feature insights from sector experts on best practices, innovative solutions, and key challenges in improving women’s welfare and empowerment policies and facilities.
Stakeholders, including representatives from relevant departments, are expected to participate widely, extending to the block level.
