Parliament saw intense discussions on the NEET paper leak issue as both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha resumed sessions on July 1.
In the Lok Sabha, BJP member and former Union Minister Anurag Thakur started the debate on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address. Opposition parties from the Indian National Developmental, Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) group walked out after Speaker Om Birla denied a discussion on the NEET row. The Lok Sabha has allocated 16 hours for this debate, which will conclude with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s response on Tuesday.

Kharge Criticizes Government, Compares Leadership to Vajpayee
Mallikarjun Kharge stated that the current situation would not have occurred under a leader like Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He criticized the government for spreading “poisonous” remarks and building on lies, quoting Vajpayee’s comments about the RSS.
