Today in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and dedicated several significant infrastructure projects worth over Rs 29,400 crores. These initiatives include the Thane Borivali Twin Tunnel Project, the Tunnel Work at Goregaon Mulund Link Road, the Kalyan Yard Remodelling, and the Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal in Navi Mumbai. Additionally, new platforms at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and extended platforms at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus were inaugurated.
The Prime Minister also launched the Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana, a major skill development program for the youth, with a budget of approximately Rs 5600 crores. Modi highlighted the enthusiastic response from investors to the government’s third term, emphasizing the goal of transforming Maharashtra into an economic powerhouse and making Mumbai a global fintech capital.
He stressed the importance of rapid development, improved connectivity, and employment opportunities to meet India’s evolving needs. He reiterated the government’s commitment to prioritizing the underprivileged and enhancing the quality of life for all citizens.
The event was attended by prominent leaders, including Maharashtra’s Governor Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar.
