Prime Minister Narendra Modi today expressed deep sorrow over the fatalities in the Hathras incident in Uttar Pradesh and declared financial assistance for the affected families.
Shri Modi announced that the next of kin of each deceased would receive Rs 2 lakh, and those injured in the stampede would receive Rs 50,000 from the Prime Minister National Relief Fund (PMNRF).
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) shared on X:
“The Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji has announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF for the next of kin of each deceased in the mishap in Hathras. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000.”
