After withdrawing a previously announced list of 44 candidates due to “typographical errors,” the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released a revised slate of 15 candidates for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.
The updated list includes the following nominees: Er. Syed Showkat Gayoor Andrabi for 32-Pampore, Arshid Bhat for 32-Rajpora, Javed Ahmad Qadri for 37-Shopian, Mohammad Rafiq Wani for 43-Anantnag West, Advocate Syed Wazahat for 44-Anantnag, Sofi Yousuf for 45-Srigufwara-Bijbehara, Veer Saraf for 46-Shangus-Anantnag East, Tariq Keen for 48-Inderwal, Sushri Shagun Parihar for 49-Kishtwar, Sunil Sharma for 5-Padder-Nagseni, Daleep Singh Parihar for 51-Bharderwah, Gajay Singh Rana for 52-Doda, Shakti Raj Parihar for 53-Doda West, Rakesh Thakur for 54-Ramban, and Salim Bhat for 55-Banihal.
The party initially announced the list of 44 candidates but had to retract it due to errors. The revised list is now set to guide the party’s campaign strategy for the upcoming elections.
