Mishra, an IPS officer who joined the police service in 2019 after clearing the UPSC exam on her first attempt, has had a notable career. Darbhanga SSP Reddy confirmed the receipt of her resignation and mentioned that it would be forwarded to the Bihar Police Headquarters for further action.
Mishra is recognized for her significant role in solving the high-profile murder case of Jitan Sahani, father of VIP supremo Mukesh Sahni. According to regulations, IPS officers are required to send their resignation to the home department and police headquarters of their cadre state.
Sources within the Darbhanga police indicate that Mishra had been considering her resignation for the past month. Her husband, Awadhesh Saroj Dixit, is also an IPS officer and her batchmate, currently serving as City SP of Muzaffarpur. Mishra, originally from Odisha, secured the 172nd rank in the UPSC examination, leading to her selection for the Indian Police Service.
