In a disturbing incident in Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri, five individuals have been arrested, and two minors detained, for allegedly killing a migrant worker from Bihar over suspicions that he had consumed beef. The victim, identified as Sabir Malik, was a labourer who had relocated to Haryana for work.
According to the police, the accused lured Malik and another worker to a shop on August 27, under the guise of selling scrap plastic bottles. Once there, the seven suspects brutally assaulted the two men. A video of the assault, which circulated widely on social media, shows the severity of the attack. Malik succumbed to his injuries, while the other worker is currently receiving medical treatment in a hospital.
The incident began when some individuals alerted the police, suspecting that beef was being cooked in a local slum. The police responded by taking meat samples for laboratory testing. However, shortly after, the suspects took matters into their own hands, leading to the fatal assault on the two labourers.
The police have identified the five arrested men as Abhishek, Mohit, Ravinder, Kamaljit, and Sahil. An investigation is ongoing, and authorities have assured that those responsible will face appropriate legal action
