Hariyali Teej
Saavan is a holy month in the Hindu religion. There is greenery in nature in this month. Dense dark clouds rise in the sky and it rains drizzlingly. The earth and atmosphere get purified by this rain. Lord Shiva is worshipped in this month. It is also known as Shravani Teej, Haritalika Teej, Sindhara Teej and Chhoti Teej. The festival of Hariyali Teej is celebrated two days after Hariyali Amavasya.
The festival of Hariyali Teej is celebrated on the third day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Sawan. On this day Goddess Parvati received Lord Shiva as her husband. On this day, married women observe fast and worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. She wears new clothes and does sixteen adornments. On this day women give bananas to each other.

Hariyali Teej fast can be observed either without water or with fruits. Women who observe the Nirjala fast remain without drinking water the whole day. Women who observe fruit fast consume only fruits and water during the day.

- After the puja, fill the vermillion offered to Mata Rani in the temple and pray for the long life of the husband.
- Break the fast of Hariyali Teej only after offering Arghya to the Moon. While breaking the fast, first of all, accept the Prasad offered in the puja and then eat food.
