Indian Navy’s frontline stealth frigate, INS Tabar, commanded by Captain M.R. Harish, has docked at Esbjerg, Denmark, for a two-day visit aimed at strengthening ties between the two nations and their navies.
During its stay, the crew of INS Tabar will engage in bilateral professional exchanges with the Danish Armed Forces and participate in cultural interactions. The visit highlights the Indian Navy’s commitment to building global naval partnerships.
India and Denmark share a long-standing diplomatic relationship rooted in historical connections, democratic values, and a mutual commitment to regional and international peace. Their bilateral ties were elevated to a “Green Strategic Partnership” during a Virtual Summit held on September 28, 2020, between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
INS Tabar, one of the Indian Navy’s early stealth frigates, is equipped with advanced weapons and sensors. It operates as part of the Western Fleet based in Mumbai under the Western Naval Command.
