In a rally in Jalgaon on August 25, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledged to implement tougher laws to combat crimes against women. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that his administration has accomplished more for women’s rights in the past decade than all previous governments combined since Independence.
Modi declared, “The Central Government stands united with State Governments to combat and prevent atrocities against women. We will not rest until this harmful mindset is eradicated from Indian society.”
