Bihar Police have filed a case in response to an email threatening to bomb the Chief Minister’s office in Patna, according to a senior officer.
Based on the statement from Sachivalaya Police Station SHO Sanjeev Kumar, the threatening email was sent to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) on July 16. The sender claimed affiliation with Al-Qaeda and threatened to “bomb the premises” of the CMO.
“This is an old case. We registered an FIR on August 2, 2024, after conducting an inquiry,” stated Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Rajeev Mishra on Saturday.
The FIR, accessible on the State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB) of Bihar Police’s website, lists the case against unknown individuals under pertinent sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and the IT Act.
