Palakkad, Kerala, is currently hosting the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) three-day Akhil Bharatiya Samanvay Baithak, a highly disciplined gathering of RSS volunteers. The meeting, which began on Saturday, features around 320 attendees, including senior RSS members, office-bearers, and influential figures, who are adhering to the strict regimen of the event by leaving behind their phones and remaining at the venue for the full duration.
The Baithak is a time for deep discussions and planning under the guidance of RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat. Participants engage in collective activities such as eating, praying, and working together, reflecting the organization’s commitment to unity and discipline. During this period, routine RSS activities like physical exercises and shakhas are paused, with the day starting with prayers and followed by sessions in the auditorium. All logistical tasks, including cooking and cleaning, are managed by volunteers themselves.
BJP President J.P. Nadda is scheduled to make a brief appearance at the Baithak. He will address organizational issues on the second day of the meeting but is expected to spend only half of that day there before returning to Delhi for a party program. Senior BJP leaders, including organizational secretary B.L. Santosh, are also in attendance to participate in the discussions and strategy sessions.
