In response to the attack, which resulted in one fatality and injuries to five others, security forces have been instructed to heighten their alert levels and enhance counter-insurgency operations. The Director of Education, L. Nandakumar Singh, emphasized that all government, private, and Central schools will remain shut to safeguard the school community.
A senior police officer noted that both Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and state police units are actively involved in a coordinated operation across high-risk districts, including Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Imphal West, and Kangpokpi. The objective is to apprehend the militants responsible for the attack and address the heightened security concerns in these areas.
The Manipur Police are collaborating with the National Security Guard (NSG) and other experts to address the use of drones and advanced weaponry by militants. Director General of Manipur Police, Rajiv Singh, highlighted the seriousness of the situation, particularly the new tactic of drone bombings, and assured that comprehensive measures are being taken to counter this threat.
